I was thinking about this earlier. There's probably only been 5 cars that have gone faster than 600 mph - Richard Noble has been involved with three of them, and Craig Breedlove the other two.
Also I believe they've packed up for the year now, awaiting installation of the rocket motor.

Also the SMI Motivator / Budweiser Rocket Car
Claimed to have reached Mach 1 but not officially recognised.
I remember seeing the video as a kid - I think he gets to about 600mph on the main motor and then lights up a Sidewinder rocket motor - alas the camera is at a distance and poor quality by today's standards but it was awesome at the time. The driver said that starting the Sidewinder motor felt like being hit on the back the head with a baseball bat!

Happy to ignore the Budweiser Rocket, but wasn’t Blue Flame’s record over 600mph?
Unless Breedlove was involved in that in a way I wasn’t aware of of course.
