This is a normal post Absolutely!
Having seen videos of the aerosols that can be produced I can understand why. I stayed at a place recently that had a high cistern with a pull-chain, and even though my hand was at about shoulder height as I flushed it, the water hit the pan with such force that I felt splashes on my forearm.
*edit* Jesus - I'm 90.8% disgusting. Eeew!
