I'd have been far more iimpressed if he wasn't just using lego to trigger exisiting musical tech.
If he'd made a whole drum machine out of Lego (or lego-compatible bricks, whatever) - now that would be cooler.

All those special bricks! We had to deal with the standard-8-blocks and that was IT. Red, yellow and blue. No white ones! - All the extras? We had to nibble the blocks off with our own teeth!

I've been pondering getting a Nord Drum for a few years but it never seems like it's much fun for just playing around with. They do sound stunning but it's almost set and forget because of the menu diving.
