The dropdown suggestions
do contain at least one for every number.

Ahh
I didn't use them, but I won! Tried to do one with just Sharks Jaws to Sharknado but then thought bout what I was doing and ate a sandwich instead.

Pretty tricky, when the majority of films probably sit in a large common pool of mediocrity.
I resorted to working my way through sequels to refine my guesses, on the basis that increasing instalment numbers means decreasing quality.
Got it in 6 guesses, finishing on T3...

similar
I did Alien, which it said was too high, so second guess Aliens, which was right!

Monstrously difficult on mobile. Scrolling through a list of presumably 100 films when it only displays one at a time isn't great.
The other problem is I narrowed it down to between Jaws 3-D and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 in about 3 guesses. After that it was a nightmare trying to figure out if Jason takes Manhattan fitted in that gap or not. It took another 13 guesses to get to The Love Guru.
Maybe if you could filter the available choices as you're getting closer it might help. After all, I knew it wasn't 2001 or 12 Monkeys, or any of the Indiana Joneses but I still had to scroll past all of them every time.
Edit: Also "Intersteller" is bothering the crap out of me.

It's a datalist rather than a select field,
so is intended to be more of an autocomplete/suggestions thing for when you get stuck and have run out of ideas of your own things to guess.
It should now only appear when you make two mistakes in a row to try and make people play more as intended, ie by typing in their own films until they may want a hint.
Probably something in you filtering idea, but tbh that's more work than I can be bothered to do.
Ta for the feedback.

Could you add a "Give In?" option that shows you the number
optionally shows you a couple of films that would have matched

Superb!
I love this!
Would you mind terribly if I nicked this idea and adjusted it for board games?
