She has what looks like an onion in that towel.
Does this mean she made the whole thing up?
Does this mean she was maced, and she believes that mace is removed with onion juice?
Others have suggested it's not an onion, but a lump of ice, or possibly a lemon or lime.
The world needs answers to this most pressing of issues.

I have heard this in other places too
She does have something very lightly coloured in her towel, although the video is very low quality in the places I can find it.

Lemon or lime might make more sense than onion.
Baby shampoo or vegetable oil would work far better.
I can't find onion mentioned as an antidote.

I'm told Palestinians used it as a tear gas balm back in the day
but that was more a case of 'what else have we got' and nobody seems to think it works.

I'd have tried milk; capsicum isn't soluble in water.
High proof spirits might also work, but might end up hurting even more.

I'd avoid alcohol (or any low boiling point solvent).
It will increase absorption into mucous membranes and sebaceous glands.
Yes it is a better solvent for capsaicin, which is dissolved in propan-2-ol for sprays.
Whoa, just found this
