I suspect that they probably make relatively fuck-all from YouTube these days ‐ far, far less than they would have been making in the early days of the project. Combined with running a business, I'd imagine that there isn't much financial sense in devoting the time and effort required to finish the build and produce the videos with any kind of frequency.
It's a shame, but (hopefully) it's still active. Just one of those 'it'll be done when it's done' things.
