Well they got it done except for putting it all together
then decided they just had to redo a load of stuff. I reckon at that point they just said :
"Fuck it, can't be bothered, let's see how long people will continue paying us money on Patreon before they notice we've stopped"

They're probably just too busy doing stuff that will actually make them money.
I suspect that they probably make relatively fuck-all from YouTube these days ‐ far, far less than they would have been making in the early days of the project. Combined with running a business, I'd imagine that there isn't much financial sense in devoting the time and effort required to finish the build and produce the videos with any kind of frequency.
It's a shame, but (hopefully) it's still active. Just one of those 'it'll be done when it's done' things.
