rather than from anyone of eminence. 2 million seems a lot, though perhaps vienna council is so cashed up this means nothing to them

This is a normal post I love the idea that art critics ought to be people of eminence, whatever that means, that are deferreed to on account of their superior taste.

my council bit was a joke, an ultravox reference, which once again you missed as oddly enough, some people post here just because it might be funny or interesting, rather than to express outrage at vienna council's fiscal decisions

I don't really have strong feelings about the sculpture either way. I don't mind it, more interesting than a lot of public art if you cornered me about it. just pointing out something for happosai's benefit that isn't apparent untess you bother to read the article.
