rather than from anyone of eminence. 2 million seems a lot, though perhaps vienna council is so cashed up this means nothing to them

Are all your views on art co-opted? Are you such a brow beaten slave to orthodoxy that you are incapable of a visceral reaction of your own? And yet on matters of municipal expenditure you manage a degree of scepticism. It’s like you know the price of everything, and the value of nothing.

I wonder how long this one will last, though I do admire the tortuous effort you've put in to try to extract something insulting from the above.
briefly, my observation implied that definitive article headlines should perhaps be based on something more than an anonymous twitter opinion the writer came across, if this makes me a "brow beaten slave to orthodoxy incapable of a visceral reaction of my own", sorry, give me moment,....then so be it
my council bit was a joke, an ultravox reference, which once again you missed as oddly enough, some people post here just because it might be funny or interesting, rather than to express outrage at vienna council's fiscal decisions

I don't really have strong feelings about the sculpture either way. I don't mind it, more interesting than a lot of public art if you cornered me about it. just pointing out something for happosai's benefit that isn't apparent untess you bother to read the article.
"World's ugliest water fountain" Said Someone on Twitter probably wouldn't get the same clicks, even with us browbeaten slaves.
