It's not in me to punch down at someone doing the work and putting themself out there to give it an honest go without purposely being irritating or ironic about it.

He'd do fine playing an instrument in the background for a band that does traditional tunes in a pub.

He's doing what he clearly loves, there's obviously an audience for it and anyone who doesn't like nasal, tuneless folk singing doesn't have to listen.
