that is some awesome editing, I'd love to learn how to do this sort of stuff. Any ideas what Windows progs are upto the job?

in answer to your question.
you could do it with windows movie make to be honest.
All you need is the source files, they are hardest to get. windows movie maker will cut, paste, speed up, slow down and reverse.
it's not the quickest but it's easy to use and produces what you want.

I use Adobe Premiere CS3 and it's a fucking nightmare to learn. I've also tried Final Cut pro. it has a learning curve that makes rocket science look like maths4mentals.

Final Cut and Premiere are programs apparently designed to hurt the user. I can recommend Vegas Video, stupid name, but powerful AND friendly. A bit like Aslan.
