it's either some bloke in a greenscreened outfit holding it by the scruff of the neck, or the cats being hanged and the wire's been shopped out.
Either way, the cats not fucking happy. Sorry to be a party pooper but hurting something for internet giggles is a fucking shit thing to do

of parties.
Don't think the cat was hurt, to be honest. Submissive, yes, but hurt? I doubt it. Any cat I know would have faceraped the transgressor twice over the course of several painful weeks by the time the stairs were reached if pain was involved.
I appreciate and wholehartedly agree with your sentiment, of course.

it's either given up as cats do when they are awaiting death or its dead. This isn't funny. Maybe if it was a paralysed baby people would laugh more

But don't cats have a thing (a fold of skin or such-like) where you can pick them up by the scruff of the neck and it doesn't harm them? It's left over from when they're kittens and the mum would pick them up in her mouth that way. I'm sure I read that somewhere or somebody told me it.
I'm not a cat person so tend to have as little to do with them as possible, so the above may be rubbish.

but I can't imagine it's pleasant.
However, there is no background distortion consistent with greenscreen work on an amateur level, so I'm guessing this cat is being hanged.
I hope I'm wrong. And will be happy to be proved so. Until then this is fucking appalling and I hope people realise and delete it.

hanging them is not the way to go. I, too, hope that you are proved wrong.

I too fear there is something very not right about this - hope you're wrong but suspect otherwise

but after studying this video too i have a strong suspicion this is merely faked. Look at the movement, it's solid. Very very smooth, especially around the corner at the start of the stairwell. The movement upward is also very polished, doesn't look like there's much interference from general forces in real life.
I understand the concern but i doubt there's much here you have to worry about.
