As soon as you made your film you had copyright to the script
and idea, as you have evidence of coming up with the idea first and they have blatently ripped you off you can sue and collect their winnings. Also I'd suggest going to the papers as you should get the recognition you so rightly deserve as well.

There is no copyright on ideas. The copyright protects the work itself, not the idea behind it.
