Not really, it's hardly an outrageous suggestion that an oil platform could cause an oil slick. If they'd suggested that a massive eagle blocked one of the outlet tubes and the entire drill continued to the centre of the earth and destabilised the spinning of the earth and we headed into the sun, that would be a good prediction if it occurred.
