This is a normal post i fail to see how people becoming trapped and tortured / killed in increasingly elaborate and horrific ways
is classed as entertainment.

I like gory bits in films as much as the next guy, but the saw films are out of context and are just porn for strange people.

I am a massive horror fan, and these films are just stupid crap. Do not want.

This is a normal post Agree completely.
Torture porn for inadequate teenage boys.
The older I get, the more empathic I get, & this kind of thing just makes me sad.

This is a normal post people have always enjoyed
torture and violence as entertainment - from the roman gladiator games, to bull fighting in spain and the x factor auditions! I'm not a fan, but i know a lot of people who love these films. strange folk indeed!

This is a normal post I love the Saw films.
Not usually a massive horror fan but they're really rather clever. All fit together like a big jigsaw...overlapping continuities Back to the Future 2-style "film within a film" business.

And I do like the ridculously OTT gore.

Quite an isolated case though...tried watching the Hills Have Eyes and couldn't get through it. Just horrid.

This is a normal post If I wanted to be entertained by maiming and cruelty
I'll stick to Tom and Jerry, thank you very much.

This is a normal post because some one wrote an article calling them torture porn
and so more were made as they were said to be popular.

The original saw film/s actually had some form of moral to them though, as they are about a guy who wants to give people a reason to live their life by making it seem that much more valuable that they still living.

but on the whole I think they're pretty shit.
