I love my iPad and want the new one, my plan was always to sale my old one and buy the new one each year; like I have done with my iPhones. Turns out, apple have loads of stock and is flogging it off cheap at the moment, a lot cheaper than I'm prepared to go down too.
But anyway, if you want a bargin, feel free to get a first hand one direct from apple for relative fuck-all money.

I want one, but I'm a little scared that the new one that is inevitably on the way will be far better. Any hard facts about that yet?

Must have missed that. No increase in the screen resolution then? That's all I'd have been interested in for the new one.

I always said I'd wait for v2, but now it's here I'm still not sure.

My iPad is the best gadget I've bought, I use it every day, I only want the new one so it holds it's value year-on-year, but if it's not going to do that, then I'll keep and enjoy my current one and upgrade every 3 or 4 years and not count the old one as something that holds any true value.

aren't they just cheaper because A) there's a new model coming out soon and B) there will be another model released later in the year with further extras

b) very much doubt it.

something about features they hadn't quite sorted out for the release of A

cos Apple is overpriced shiny shit that doesn't allow the user any flexibility - e.g. that syncing bullshit - see Charlie Brooker article from Monday.
*commence Apple vs Other fight*
actually don't.

They're both very very good tools, and the only reason I haven't switched to android is because work-wise I've invested so much in Apple.
