Try just looking at the image and attempting to control your perception of the way the ballerina is spinning. It's quite the mind bender.

or that's not hard to follow at all
She's rotating counter clockwise (her left leading) and going up and down at the same time with a slight angle tilt on the 3d model.
Reading the bit at the bottom I don't see how it could be going clockwise.

it's just about perspective/camera positioning.
The bad angling of the 3d model causes her foot to lift off the ground giving you a minor forced lower angle of the animation. So what you can see if you stare at the feet is like looking at her from under a glass surface (you pervert) and therefore a reverse motion of what she is doing.
Looking at her upper body clearly (in my mind) shows the direction.
if it wasn't a silhouette it would fall apart horribly.

Either assumption breaks down when you see the images rotation switch. Not everyone sees it rotate the same way initially.

Look at the shadow, and picture it spinning anti- clockwise, and she flips. Then look at her tits, and she flips back to clockwise.

Arghhh it only goes one way!!!
It's a bloody conspiracy to drive me mental!!!
It does not go both ways EVER!!!!!

Try covering up the ballerina and only looking at the reflection, that bit is much easier to 'switch' in your mind. Then slowly reveal the ballerina from the feet up.
