So, if I've understood this (and I have no Dutch): a man was charged with the task of driving at speed towards a barrier. As he approached that barrier, he decided that it was better to look over his shoulder than at where he was going. He left the piste, and drove into an area where people were standing.
Is that right?

given the nature of the show why didn't the daft bint in the back use a seat belt?

why on earth were people standing/parked/etc behind the wall? Given the nature of the show he's highly likely to either fail to stop in time or lose it completely (he managed both). Arguably there should be nothing to hit after the braking marker except for the polystyrene wall and some cones.

I was wondering that.
It's health and safety gone mad. Except in this case, it really is.
