Thomas Lubanga found guilty
Looks like the ICC has finally popped it's cherry.
The more it shows it can cope with international crimes the less the world will look to the U.S for justice.
However countries signed up to the ICC need to be a bit better in co-operating with extradition requests it seems.

Thank you! I was afraid i'ld have to track down an awareness raising youtube clip to get someone to respond.
These things take time I guess, witnesses have to be persuaded to come forward etc.
Catching some of the Slobo stuff they seemed to go into fine detail of every incident and these guys tend to rack up a lot of incidents.

I agree that this kind of high-level justice takes a lot of time, but they're going to have to find some way of making it more efficient because the ICC just doesn't look effective at the moment. I mean look at Charles Taylor, he first appeared before the court in 2006!

plus too many African leaders still think he's a "liberation hero", despite what he's done. Politically it'd be difficult.
And besides, at least they've got a sham democracy in Zimbabwe. It's a lot better than places like Swaziland..
