Music is very mathematical based and is a good method of encryption so why not. And they don't start the Spaceship with it, it just brings up the holographic computer display like a remote control might do the same thing.

You know that the studio were doing damage control for Promethues a few weeks back due to mediocre reviews.
They've already confirmed a longer cut with about 25 minutes of more footage*
Though I don't think making the film longer would solve its problems, it needs a complete re-edit.

I think even the director's cut won't do much for it
I'm sure it will all be explained in the sequel but I'm hoping they don't have to explain stuff by making it all bullshitty like they are just glossing over stuff.
