This is a link post 2012 Great British Beer Festival beer/cider list released
I've no idea if any of you lot will be heading to this, but I've been waiting for this list to be released for some time.
8th August - getting my drink on
9th August - getting my hangover on
'Tis full of real ale cunts but it's great for the people watching if nothing else.

This is a normal post Now I'm no lightweight but I doubt I could get through more that 3 or 4 pints before my taste buds go

This is a normal post The secret is to just get the free tasters
all day. LOL!

This is a normal post That's what the 1/3 pint glasses are for :)
Though that only delays matters :D

This is a normal post I always drink halves at the beer fessies. Get more variety in.

This is a normal post Indeed, and they take up less space in the kitchen too :)

This is a normal post My cupboards are rammed with exotic pints and halves
Need to stop acquiring these bloody things whilst drunk.

This is a normal post I fully agree on the People watching.
Yeeeears ago I went to it at Olympia and we were just sitting there enjoying a sip or two when we saw 'TV's wine expert' Oz Clarze staggering towards the gents looking like he had been enjoying himself. I didn't think anything of it but about 15 mins later two security guards 'casual, don't cause alarm jogged' into the toilet and we noticed that there was a flashing light above the door. They later carried him out in a barely semi conscious state between them and took him out a side door.

My opinion of him went up that day.

This is a normal post Would love to go this year
but not sure I've got the time. I'll try and make it though, cause I love the beer

On a side note, finally got round to putting another brew on. Currently in the fermenting bucket, so ETA 4 weeks!

This is a normal post Yay for beer festivals.
I'm a real cider lady (not a real ale cunt). We've been to 4 beer and cider fests so far this year. I've almost convinced Mr t0ria that cider is better than beer, especially since we got to know the local CAMRA cider boss who runs the cider bars, and get lots of freebies.

This is a normal post Can't drink much cider anymore
due to a bad gut, but love real ale. I've only made 2 beer fests this year, but still plenty of time left!

This is a normal post Wot, no Hitachino or Minoh?
:( Got myself silly drunk on imperial stout when out in the land of the rising tentacle.

This is a normal post I'm massively disappointed that there is nothing from the
FFF Brewery. Pressed Rat & Warthog is the best Real Ale I have ever tasted.

This is a normal post What are "real ale cunts"?
Are they the same sort of people who claim to smell stuff in wine that couldn't possibly be in there... like plums? Or people who talk shite about what they're drinking generally?
(, Thu 26 Jul 2012, 21:25, Reply)
This is a normal post Probably correct there
I enjoy drinking real ale. Each one is different. I don't flaunt myself as an expert and one of the only people allowed to drink it because I'm an "expert". You don't need to know the varieties of hops in a drink to enjoy it*, do you?

*get pissed as a wet fart
