This is a normal post A lass I know is proper pissed off.
That she couldn't get tickets for the swimming, being a swimmer in national competitions herself when she was younger, only to see the stands almost empty on the TV.

This is a normal post I'm not really concerned about the Olympics

But this is embarrassing. They should have assigned the tickets to people (family etc.) with a debit for twice the cost of the ticket. Thy either return the ticket if they don't want to go or if the ticket is not used money is debited from their account.

Badly organised, rained off, corporate stained shite that would be hammered by the media even if the event ran smoothly. Why did we expect any different?

Also, whether true or not (probably not), Im waiting for the inevitable stories in a month's time where we find how many visitors or athletes ended up staying here to live.

but didnt the organisers gloat about selling all the tickets? or did they just allocate too many tickets to tourists who couldnt be arsed to come to london when they can get a better seat infront of the telly. personally i chose to move to the other side of the planet.
