licensed farming weapons, privately owned hunting guns, and maybe even decommissioned collectors items?

I was so impressed about the graphics I didn't check the figures
[edit]
From the FAQ
"Civilian arms consist of pistols, revolvers, sporting shotguns, sporting rifles (anything not rated as a military item including fully automatic weaponry)."

That's a genuinely small number of privately licensed shotguns and rifles. Bear in mind that only handguns are illegal in the UK and shooting is big sport (hell, we got Gold didn't we?). If you look at the number of shooting clubs and indeed (private) schools that import, I'm surprised the figure is actually this small.

It was interesting that the US hasn't increased it's export by a huge amount though (200 million?), contrary to popular belief.

$456,710,000 of civilian weapons imported into the UK over 18 years.

They should go into the gun shop, take the stuff and shoot the owner like in The Terminator.
