Can anyone please explain the popularity of Mickey Mouse?
When I grew up there were far more entertaining characters on TV - Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny etc. He always struck me as one of the most boring cartoon characters out there.

Agreed .... but do not underestimate the power of the darkside ...
that is Disney - they made Mickey and Co. probably more popular than they should have been.

I was thinking this just yesterday when I caught a Looney Tunes on TV in the afternoon.
Marvin the Martian and Bugs Bunny. Knocked spots off Mickey the Mouse.
