Batteries not included?
Knowing your luck you'll get one on Christmas day and no shops will be open so you won't be able to get any batteries for it and you'll have to sit there until boxing day, looking at it, crying.

*puts on ignore*
Now that you logged out to find out why your post vanished Tabby....
I can tell you that I will un-ignore as soon as Bready does.
So you better start being nice to him and convince him that I was only jesting.
In the meantime people will be able to say anything they want about you in my threads
and you wont be able to reply.
Oh I've also put your comedy account on ignore too so you wan't be able to get round it that way.
Jolly japes eh!
[edit]
Well that didn't take long.
Lets all be nice from now on eh?

IIRC that's the air catching fire from the friction of the round passing through it.

The air catching fire?
So air is combustible. That could cause a few problems.
Edit: To answer the question, it seems this railgun is a plasma or hybrid railgun - that blast of flame is plasma. From Wiki "A plasma armature is formed by an arc of ionised gas that is used to push a solid, non-conducting payload in a similar manner to the propellant gas pressure in a conventional gun. "
