This is a normal post I saw it a week or so ago and still don't know what's going on
there are some weird post production camera shifts and stuff (the zoom in when they notice the reflection on the table might give something away)
Problem is in this day and age it's just too easy to edit it in After Effects you can only be properly impressed with their slight of hand if you are there to watch it yourself

This is a normal post ^This
I assumed the croissant was sleight of hand done properly, due to how crushed it appeared to be, and the subtle massaging he had to do to get it back to croissant shape. The bread on the other hand was quite clearly edited.

This is a normal post You see more and more "illusionists" who think that post production is simply a modern, acceptable form of smoke and mirrors.
it's not that surprising, just disappointing

This is a normal post you're right that it's not surprising
magicians have been using (and indeed, inventing) editing tricks since 1896

Anywho, the croissant trick can be done fairly straightforwardly live as he appears to have a lot of space for a topit, and the angles look workable.

The baguette however, I'm not convinced by at all as the handling just doesn't look like something which could work live - especially with the punters sat on the sides. The only way you could load at that angle, with that much clearance would be *incredibly* obvious from anywhere other than the camera position.

There's just too much negative space around the load area, and the production angle is too steep for it to be anything other than an edit.

Pity, because the other effects were nice enough, and would easily work live.

This is a normal post I bet *you* could make a baguette convincingly disappear.
*raises eyebrow*

This is a normal post He's not that good
The rubber band trick is so slowly done that it becomes clear how he's doing it. His hands repeatedly go out of frame during the phone trick, and there's also a convenient reflection at the first reveal, followed by some dodgy focussing at the change.

That baguette trick is really badly done though. If it's not edited in post, then he should try to make it look like it wasn't.
