Since the uploader is unlikely to read the B3ta links board, this would not be the appropriate medium to express my complaint about this abhorrent abuse of pixels which has a very real possibility of misleading future historians by leading them to incorrectly believe that before the invention of widescreen television people were 33% fatter.
I have contacted the uploader via YouTube comments to express my disgust with their technical incompetence.
My mention of it here was merely a trigger warning for my B3ta friends.

But can you embed it on B3ta? No. Can you use that site to watch the video in the YouTube app in the correct ratio?
It's a nice partial solution to the problem until YouTube implement something better.
