In their list of Common Driving Distractions, BBC seem to believe people are prepared to brew their own cuppas while motoring along...

I've driven the M27 every day for 25 minutes to and from work for the past nine years, and some of the things I see people doing beggars belief. Mapreading is a classic one. Not just with it open on the passenger seat, but with open on the steering wheel and having a good old peer. Pouring tea or coffee from a thermos is quite believable.
Our lorry driver at work has just had a screen installed in his cab for when he's parked overnight, but I know him, and the temptation will probably prove too great.
