This is a normal post There's a bunch of cool tricks you can try with microwaves
(note, however, that most of them probably have the potential to screw up your microwave)

CDs are fun because of the way you can see the sparks propagate across the disc surface. The best one is to light a candle, put a glass over it and switch on the microwave. It's a bit fiddly, but here's a video of it:

This is a normal post In our sixth form common room we used twat about with the microwave in the name of science.
We tried the grape and I seem to remember if you pushed cocktail sticks into each half it would arc quite spectacularly. Fairy lights would light up if you put a bunch of them in too. As mentioned above, CDs are very satisfying to watch.
