Nah, buy Black Mesa instead and avoid the ropey Xen levels in the original.
It’s really quite good; well worth the fifteen quid on Steam.

yeah
I should have touched on that in the video, but Black Mesa is a full on re-make and isn't really the original game anymore - But i should have at least mentioned it as an alternative.

Steam was a genius move though.
If you'd invented what was basically an infinite money printing machine, would you bother completing any of your old jobs?

I've got hundreds of hours on TF2 but the opening sequence on HL and HL2 gameplay give me terrible motion sickness. Never been able to play them. Can't explain why some games do it and others not. Played Thief for 10 minutes and had to lie down all morning.

What do you mean by "opening sequence"?
Surely not the signature guitar twang.
Both games start on trains, is that it?

Yes, it's the movement on the trains. Proper screws me up. I can't watch other people gaming either. Even Minecraft, which is a shame as I would have loved to play that.

Vaguely recall that there's something called headwave that you can often turn off in game settings that helps

Head bob, which mimics head movement when running, but can be uncomfortable for some people. I have encountered games that made me feel queasy, and another thing that may help is changing the FOV (field of view) setting, if that is available.

Well if you still play TF2 add me on Steam and I’ll pocket you for a round or two.
