This documentary made me laugh a lot. Scientists extrapolating and generalizing from experiments that are reductionist by nature (specifically reduced to fit into the lab) often make me laugh.

...and the occasional sci-narrative such as the one about the humans leaving africa only did so because their subconscious minds ignored the risk... ahh, that's a classic.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not anti-science. I'm just anti-simplification.

This is a normal post This is Horizon, science in tabloid form visualised for the MTV generation, they used to do good adult brain hurting stuff.
Now simplistic one sided nonsense with silly cuts, effects and accompanying OTT fright sounds before they say something bland and obvious as if it's meant to be a big shocking reveal of scary hard facts is all they do now.

Much like 90% of current TV, especially anything with Gordon Bennett Ramsey in it.
