Seems like revisiting old diaries is suddenly a bit of a thing, but I swear I didn't know this at the time when I started on this book.
I found my old diaries from 40 years ago and they were ridiculous, all I did was complain about being bored, try and find pictures of Samantha Fox to wank off to, and fail miserably to copy ZX Spectrum games from mates on my crap tape recorder. There is a fair bit of 1984/85 fourteen year-old me Spectrum talk, maps, pokes, Crash! magazine etc and even my laughable attempt at starting a software house and writing a game. Anyway, I've no desire to read the sordid ramblings of a teenage boy. I can just about remember them from my own life.

Goodness knows I am absolutely the las person to give anyone advice about publicity
But have you thought maybe if you stress that the thing is boring quite so much, maybe people will not want to read? I know we are all about understatement in this country, but you do need to give people some entry point.
