lets ignore the fact that after the late devonian extinction many ecological niches took over 10 million years to be exploited by other organisms, with plastics having been around less than two centuries. The fantastic day when plastics are consumed is imminent, and plastic insulated wire and components, the basis of our modern technological infrastructure, is destroyed
