I assume the secret may
have been to draw things out on graph paper first. It is an odd mix of coding and design.

I'm sure it was simpler in the old days
this seems harder than just filling in coordinates and a colour, but I imagine that's my advancing years and decreasing attention span

Ah, that takes me back...
We had a viewdata BBS on the school's network of BBC Micros and I built a number of pages for it (the interface was pretty clunky and we did have printed template sheets for designing on prior to entering into the computer).
