As a comment elsewhere asked: "Do you know what kind of evidence you would have to present to a federal judge to get him to sign a warrant to raid the President's personal attorney's office?"
They would have had to present sufficient evidence to persuade the judge that the potential breach of client confidentiality was outweighed by what they expect to find. Lawyer's offices don't get raided on a whim, and this isn't any ordinary lawyer.
