I agree with number 1, very very odd ending
I've completed that game about 3 times, and I'm still not certain if I fully get it.

One minute you're positioning falling blocks (on game B, level 9, height 5), then the next Mario turns up and you watch a space shuttle launch accompanied by fireworks... Like, WTF?!
