Would have insisted that the 'Word of the Year' was an actual fucking word and not "Goblin Mode" which is two words and #IStandWith which is an amalgamation of three words (and also a fucking hashtag...)
These portmanteau Tuckerisms like 'Permacrisis' can fuck off, too. There are plenty of beautiful, lesser-known words in the English language, what's the obsession with making up shit new ones? And don't get me started on 2015's '😂'.
Anyway. It'll be Metaverse, obviously.
