This is a question Abusing freebies

A friend of mine recently attended a 'Champaign Lunch', where he was compelled drink as much fizzy stuff as he could between the first and last courses. In an ideal world we'd ask restaurant staff to tell us stories about fatties stuffing themselves at All You Can Eat places, but we recognise that our members don't all work in the catering trade, so for the rest of you - tell us something about abusing freebies. BTW: Bee puns = you fail.

NHS Freebies
There are none - the odd biro, a plaster. Reps occasionally give you stuff but usually to Dr.'s. Even courses which USED to provide lunch don't now, you have to bring sandwiches or pop to McDonald's. Bloody money saving :-(

Vibrators?
I seem to remember a reply on a previous QOTW about back-massagers or some sort that went missing. Perhaps you're in the wrong department?

Money saving?
So where's it all going? We're all paying several times what we paid ten years ago - we don't see any more hospitals, they're no cleaner, we're not any healthier, and now it seems that you guys don't even get treated any better?

So WTF is happening to all the money??

Well...
I work in pyychiatry, not "proper" nursing, but my views are:-
Hospitals ARE cleaner WHERE IT MATTERS. There is more provision of alcohol gel etc but VISITORS DONT USE IT.
Newer treatments cost £$£ and many people who would have died 10 years ago now carry on living (with lots of care, support, medication etc) which all costs £$£.
The Public is now aware ofthe finite pot of cash, it is not bottomless.
