Cigarettes, gambling, porn and booze. What's your addiction? How low have you sunk and how have you tried to beat it?
Thanks to big-girl's-blouse for the suggestion

Mouse Gestures
Possibly the most useful of the myriad add-ons and extensions for Firefox. For the unfamiliar, this handy little program allows the user to open and close tabs or whole windows, cycle between existing tabs, adjust the zoom and various other little tasks, using a combination of right-clicks, middle-clicks and mouse movements.
The trouble is that I now find I can't browse without it. Every time I've installed Firefox on a computer, I've had to install Mouse Gestures, lest I find myself falling back into the primitive world of gesture-free browsing.
So it's not a dangerous dependence; just an embarrassing one. Because I often find myself at somebody else's computer, who has not the Gestures Of Mouse, and I instinctively go, say, to open a fresh tab. And thus I sit there for a few seconds, frantically right-clicking and twirling the mouse around, looking like a retarded child abandoned by his despondent parents in PC World.

You're not alone
I was lost when I got a new laptop. Gestures involving right clicks and moving on the touchpad just didn't work, so I now keep a spare old USB mouse in my laptop case, purely so I can use it for FF/gestures. Close, duplicate, new tab, open all passed over links in new tabs... can't live without any of them, now.

Which one do you use?
This sounds interesting... I spend about 12 hours a day using Firefox.
I found:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6366
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/29
I'm guessing it's the second one?

Ooh, not sure actually
The one I currently have installed is called Mouse Gestures Redox. This might be the same thing as the second one, given the description given on the website. Or it could be another - I didn't realise there was more than one version!

Opera -
it's why I love it so much - the gestures are much smoother and built in... but when you find a website that only works in ie, it really is a pain - I instal opera if I have to use a computer not mine for any length of time...
down and left.

I'm a compulsive mousewiggler
As I sit reading the QOTW my mouse is swooping and swirling all over the place like a spastic moth. So probably not a good idea.
