Cigarettes, gambling, porn and booze. What's your addiction? How low have you sunk and how have you tried to beat it?

I can't stop cracking my knuckles. I've been doing it since I was about 10 years old and I'm now in my mid 40s. It annoys other people and it annoys me and I know it can't be doing me any good but I just can't help it. When it enters my head to do it I've simply got to or it drives me mental thinking about it until I eventually succumb. I wish I could stop.

I have been doing them all since I was 10.
I used to really worry, but I did my back in and had to go to a chiropractor and I asked him whether I'd get arthritis and he told me it's an old wives tale.
No evidence exists that cracking knuckles causes any damage whatsoever!
Crack away FTW!

because I crack most joints in my body, and if I don't they get stiff after a while.
particularly my guitar playing fingers

Why don't you go for a little distraction theory to stop you from doing it. Every time you want to crack your knuckles, go and have a wank. It'll take your mind off your knuckles.
