Anyone remember the jingle

"What's got a hazelnut in every bite?"

Which is where me and my mates would yell:

"Squirrel shit!"

I will grow up one day. Honest.

Cheers

Of course the correct, non-silly answer is "a hazelnut".
You can't just eat a hazelnut!
Come and stop me, processed food boy.

indeed...
if anyone were to prompt me with the start of that jingle, I would be completely unable *not* to say squirrel shit. And I'm supposed to be mature now I'm (well) over 40.

Being a little activist even at the age of 10
I made up my own words to the finger of fudge song back in the late 70's

A nuclear bomb is just enough to kill your kids a treat
A nuclear bomb is just enough to blow up your street
Its full of killing you goodness and very small and neat
A nuclear bomb is just enough to kill your kids a treat

And my Brother and Me would happily sing it in the back of Dads Hillman Minx repeatedly for the full 6 hours it would take us to get to Cornwall for our annual camping holiday, breaking only occasionally for the traditional renditions of "are we there yet" and "I'm touching cloth Dad!!! pleaseeeee stop!!"

Patience of a saint that man had. Suprised me and Bro are still alive!

Edit\ Ohhh I forgot my Brothers "beans" song. This would consist of Bro and me sitting in the back of Dads car singing "Beans beans beans beans" repeatedly, in the style of Big Bens chimes, slowly getting louder and louder until either, we got beans for tea at jouneys end or Mum cracked and walloped one of us.

another fudge one
we used to sing as kids:
a finger of fudge is just enough to make your kids go green
a cadbury's fudge is just enough to make your stomach heave
it's full of cadbury poison, you don't know where it's been
a finger of fudge is just enough to make your kids go green

I remember we used to play "milky bar kid" as well
The estate kids would all get together, someone was chosen to be the "milky bar kid" and we would chase them like a baying pack of wolves and beat the snot out of them if we caught them. Lord of the flies had nothing on us!

20 psychotic 10 year olds running riot over the estate humming the milky bar tune with murder in their hearts. I miss my childhood!

Why was the game called "milky bar kid" ? Dunno, lost in time, but possibly because milky bars tasted of shite.

Please...
...don't grow up. This place wouldn't be the same if you did (and it's not like the rest of us here made much of an effort...)

And the one with a weird animated character called Toby
He would eat a Topic bar and try to guess the slogan.

"A ha... a ha... a happy birthday to Toby?"
