This is a question When Animals Attack

I once witnessed my best friend savaged near to death by a flock of rampant killer sheep.

It's a kill-or-be-killed world out there and poor Steve Irwin never made it back alive. Tell us your tales of survival.

Yes Humpty...we are immature
We realize and accept this about ourselves. And we are in therapy for this.

rising bum...that's funny.

But...
... do you realise exactly how many people are growing a healthy disdain for you as a result of the witless immaturity?

It isn't just about you, You're destroying the board for many others who actully like to read stories.

Is
the answer 1?

I'm trying to think of an actual story
and I did post about my boss's dog being stolen

Sometimes sunshine...
... that "one" is enough.
(, Thu 1 May 2008, 17:05, closed)
But
what about the needs of the many?
(, Thu 1 May 2008, 17:06, closed)
3 is not "many"
I know the world seems strangely small when you're a kid, but really, There's more than you reading this.

This
this or that this? I lose track.
Sorry dad, I didn't realise you read B3TA and felt the need to judge.
Maybe - oh I don't know - whats the phrase I'm looking for? Lighten up possibly?
And I'd hardly say there were just 3 people playing the 'last post' game - nor all new - nor all young.

Hello new person. Please read our FAQ. Cheers.

Hello Humpy
please look for the L signs - cheers.

But thanks for your concern.

I believe the button you're looking for is down near the bottom, starts with an I.
(, Thu 1 May 2008, 17:15, closed)
Well, I dunno about you
but I usually start out reading the old QOTWs with the Best Of page, then start at Page 1 and make my way forward. In the case of this one, the last ten pages or so of inane chatter will simply be ignored, I'm sure. It doesn't really affect me one way or the other, I guess...

In other words, don't let it annoy you too much. It's relatively harmless.

@ Noggin
How can it be that you've been here for over half a year, but have only "liked" 8 QOTW answers?

Is it because you don't read the others?
Is it because only your Own answers amuse you?
Don't you understand the humour behind the majority of the posts?

... or do you simply not fit in here?

The absence of an 'L-Plate' doesn't mean you're not a shit driver.

I'm not the kind of person to ignore an irritation, I stamp it out.
(, Thu 1 May 2008, 17:22, closed)
No Humpty
its because I only like 8. Thats what the 'I like this button' is for you see - you push it when you like something, and not if it didn't catch your eye.

Sorry if I'm not a literary genius enough for you though - but well done on the policing B3TA. Maybe if you're going for a job with them - start by helping them to sort out the QotWs better? Just a suggestion - hope it helps.

Kisses

While I understand the impulse
it still ends up working against you, as you get pissed off and the people you're angry at simply shrug.

At this point I've run out of on-topic stories, so posting inane chatter seems entertaining for the moment. No real harm done, anyway.

Chill, mate. Let them goof around for the afternoon, or until the question changes. All will be better by morning, I'm sure. By then there'll be a new QOTW to respond to.
(, Thu 1 May 2008, 17:30, closed)
TRL
You're missing the point.

This is not a forum for inane chatter.
This is a place to post answers to questions.

People shouldn't have to sift through 2 pages of childish nonsense in order to find one decent post.

Cheers Loon
I didn't really see the harm in it myself, being a bit of a lurker, and having time on my hands this afternoon - so I thought I'd join in.
Seems thats not the done thing though. Silly me.

Bastard thing has struck 4 times this year so far...

I never usually stoop to this level.. infact I make a fucking POINT of NOT clicking, but if Scaryduck's Highest ever score can be a result of this questionable technique....

Click "I like this" if you want to see this vile beast eradicated.[quote]

Yeah - I see your point about people posting childish things. You really hit that one home. Good work - way to take the moral high ground.

Humpty
TRL is exactly on point here, there are no decent posts at the end of this QOTW to sift through too. For someone who was so strongly against this question in the first place it's quite odd that you're getting this narky about it.
(, Thu 1 May 2008, 17:38, closed)
Normally, no.
But this is a bit of an unusual circumstance, no? We had a question that has been asked before- and personally, I had very few new stories for it- that has gone on for hours longer than normal. Four hours ago it was on about page 15 or so, as I recall, and people started posting "Last" for fun, assuming that it would close at about the usual time. As that hasn't happened, they're entertaining themselves with it in other ways.

Like I said, most of the stuff from about page 15 on can be ignored when re-reading it later. Apologies to anyone who tries to post an actual story so late in the game, but there ya go.

Meanwhile, just roll with it.

Personally
I think Humpty just needs a hug
