Instead of Time person of the year, who's B3ta's and why? (Thanks to Elliot Reuben for the suggestion.)

strictly b3ta person
*EDIT*
1) Monty for being a well-spoken and (tire/feck)less keyboard-warrior.. but mostly for the heads up on Leaf Hound. /pandersickatinybitinmyownmouth ergh

2) /talk for a group award - 'grounding' qotw fantasists

Otherwise I would have to say Julian Assange or John Pilger for the War You Don't See... embedded.. yeh I'm fully embedded.

I was at a book signing by John Pilger about 10 years ago
when I asked him if he thought that the internet would be a useful tool for investigative journalists, he answered with a quite definite and very dismissive "no". The prick.

and yet he follows Assange
like a dog who lost his bone.

So far as I'm aware, the mojority of /talk don't give much of a toss for QOTW either way. Granted, there are a few unflushable floaters that keep bobbing to the surface here - but I'm not sure they represent /talk, or even claim to do so...

Could be wrong. But then, so could you, given that your penetrating insight has apparently been developed in 21 days.

I'm confident that I have the full backing of all contributors to /talk
in telling you to fuck off, shitcunt.
(, Sat 18 Dec 2010, 16:34, closed)
I heartily agree
He is a shitcunt

I can yawn louder than you.

(, Sun 19 Dec 2010, 2:37, closed)

You must be very proud.
(, Sun 19 Dec 2010, 11:33, closed)

This is about the level I've come to expect from you, as one of the aforementioned floaters.

I'm not fucking off, least of all at the behest of some anonymous, intellectually-impoverished fuckwit with nothing to offer besides directionless bile. What are you going to do about it? Polish the X with my Y, as is, I understand, your current hilarious in-joke?

You speak for no-one, you tired little cunt.
(, Sat 18 Dec 2010, 21:37, closed)
Oh man
I wish I could take the internet as seriously as you.
(, Sun 19 Dec 2010, 8:29, closed)

Oh, right, yes - because if I'm calling you a cunt, it's because I take things too seriously. If you call me a cunt, though, it's really
very funny.
(, Sun 19 Dec 2010, 11:32, closed)
It's all quite rofl if not a bit lol, innit
You should seriously rethink your punctuation, though. "Intellectually-impoverished"? The irony is quite, quite beautiful.

Happy Phantom is a reply deleting spastic
He made such a large effort and then went crying and deleted it. What a shitcunt.

Happy Phantom despite being an inept social cripple and well renowned internet wanker knows more than you because he's been here longer than 21 days
He deserves this years Piston_Broke award

Ah, the perennial sidekick...

You dropped this - "'"

There is, of course, a veritable treasure-trove of grammatical failure in the two lines you managed to hammer out - but I won't labour the point, as I don't think you have it in you to concentrate upon more than one thing at any given time.

Rory Vs Pantdom
Rory wins.. losers will open a special package on Xmas day
(, Sat 18 Dec 2010, 23:20, closed)

I no longer give a runny shit about Rory's shrivelled little contribution - he's consistently proven himself, on many occasions, to have nothing more on offer than boring stock insults.

He has said nothing of note, again. Your 21-day history and your obvious desire to chow right down on the balls of /talk's wandering dregs gives you away. You are a sockpuppet. Not even a subtle one.

I don't blame you. Were I you, I'd take every available opportunity to reinvent myself, too.

EDIT: oh, I just saw 'pantdom'. Good job I wore my corset today, or my sides would have split with raucous laughter at your hilarious jape.

Excellent superfluous hyphenation there
well played, grammar-king.
