40 Million
Yes!

The UK is about 69M in total.

Sod off if you try and limit that to 'ones that care' it would have been a National event. Whether doing baltis in Brick Lane or BBQ in Kew.

How many Russians watch their local team, or those from Qatar?

I've been to the latter and know they will pull it off as they have the finance and will cut your hands off if they are near the till. The Ruskies, however, will be milking this all over.

The US have already provided an option if either of the two can't make it happen.

With FIFA (french acronym) leading the way and Blatter the equal of Sponge Bob Corporate Hospitality / Crabby Patties sucking up to everyone, there is no way we in England - or the UK will be allowed to host the World Cup for 40 years.

Cut the bollocks Blatter - you were bought and I bet Abramovich had something to do with it.

Tossers the whole lot!

I'm glad Britain/England/the UK/who gives a fuck didn't get it
We will still have to exist through the stupid hysterical build up with the stupid car flags and the endless stupid speculation, then the "nail biting tension" of the games against countries most supporters couldn't find on a map, and the inevitable hand wringing "what went wrong?" when England plays like the bunch of overpaid undereducated hooker-shagging beer-swilling bunch of cocks they really are.....

but it would be so much worse if the whole silly shenanigans was actually happening HERE with MY TAX MONEY

*sits back down*

Sometimes
the foreplay can be more exciting that the actual 'match'.

The visible / invisible income would have paid for it.

Its a highlight for the Country not the team.

actually

I don't pay tax. But football still gets right on my tits.

If you
don't pay tax and have tits you're opinion of football isn't really an issue.

Suggest you carry on with your knitting.
