This is a question Bad gigs

Been to see some talentless gits on stage recently? Had your enjoyment spoiled by a twat with an iPad filming the whole thing? Been bottled off? Tell us all

Towers of London.
Quite a few years back some workmates had a band going and were playing quite a few gigs in Aberdeen; Moshulu, the Tunnels and Kef. This time it was Kef and they were going on before a new band called "Towers of London" who were doing a small tour.
They were 30 minutes late coming on; pushing the crowd as they stropped onto the stage. During their set they spat on the crowd, shambled about everywhere and threw a strop when the mic stopped working and slammed it on the ground. It was shit, utterly, completely shit but Donny Tourette clearly thought he was something special.

Another one was "The Hold Steady". Christ they were dire. The singer did nothing but mumble and sweat all over the stage. The bassist actually gave my mate an apologetic shrug as if accepting the fact.

To my shame
I also saw Towers of London - shit, no, piss and shit mixed in a bucket and left on a warm windowsill for a week better describes how bad they were.
Well, anyway I saw them at the Anglia Ruskin Student bar, the place in need of a refirb there was billowing sheeting stapled up 'Bedouin' style on the ceiling to cover the cabling and to muffle the awful acoustics. This sheeting was too much of a temptation to Donny Tourette, he pulled one of the sheets from the ceiling because he is fucking punk, yeah. More so a fucking twat and was charged with criminal damage.

Serves him right. Tosspot.

Donny Tourette was once on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
He acted a laughable childish prick, and unintentionally made it one of the funniest episodes ever broadcast.

I watched highlights of that the other week.
"Oh no. He's smoking a cigarette! Which you can legally buy in shops! Whatever will he do next?!"

I can't help but feel that it was deliberate and he was playing it for laughs.
Much like that Preston's appearance. No one can be that much of a cock.
(, Sun 28 Jul 2013, 1:36, closed)
Yes it was deliberate.
Except he thought that people liked it, that it somehow made him cool and interesting and not at all like a fucking moron.

I used to work in Kef (before it was Kef)
I saw some right shit there. Tim Westwood was probably the worst.

I saw a guns and roses tribute in kef.
They were hilariously dreadful.

I only used to go for jungle nation really. It was a great venue. Origin (drim) is shit by comparison.

they really were dreadful
Why anyone would form a tribute band to them is beyond me
(, Sun 28 Jul 2013, 12:04, closed)
Seen em
They were support for (I think) Ginger & The SOnic Circus at JBs in Dudley. Id heard they were the "Next Big Thing". Oh dear they were dreadful. IIRC The band were OK it was the nob of a singer (Donny Tourette?) who really ruined it.

That Donny Tourette prick is a sausage salesman now.
I bet he's fucking shit at it.
(, Sat 27 Jul 2013, 18:46, closed)
Does he deliver the sausages proudly at the front entrance, as god intended, or furtively up the back passage?

(, Sat 27 Jul 2013, 19:21, closed)
I heard he [long-winded and not particularly funny joke about group sex and multiple penetration here].
Ahahaha. Amirite?
(, Sat 27 Jul 2013, 19:45, closed)
Indeed. It's not Wodehouse.

(, Sun 28 Jul 2013, 8:08, closed)
Alright
Brigadier?
(, Sun 28 Jul 2013, 9:26, closed)
All good.
Apart from being at work on the fucking sabbath.
(, Sun 28 Jul 2013, 10:03, closed)
I laughed out loud when you mentioned this on a social networking site the other week.
He's a fucking knobend.

The first time I saw a trailer for The Towers Of London, I thought they were a spoof
I thought, why do another rock spoof band? Spinal Tap and Bad News have pretty much said all that needs to be said, there.

When I found out that they were actually serious, I didn't stop laughing for a week.
