Worst thing ever, and I suggest you all try it.
Boiled egg sandwiches are lovely, especially with a bit of salad cream. Crisp sandwiches are rather tasty too. Just because two things are nice by themselves, it does not mean that they make an excellent example of fusion food. You put them both in a sandwich.

As you are taking a bite, the first thing you taste is the egg. Yummy salad cream dressed egg. But then your teeth encounter the crisps. Your brain does not think "Mmm, crisps", it actually thinks "Bleuurrgghh! Egg shell" and makes you do that face of disgust that humans have evolved to push nasty stuff out of the mouth as fast as possible.

Try it, just the once. In fact challenge a mate to see who can eat the most.

I'm afraid that I must disagree!
I'm actaully partial to an egg and tomato sandwich (salad creamy is best we can agree on that part!) with a few salt and vinegar thrown in for good measure. I also like to add a generous coalting of Encona West Indian Hot Chilli sauce to the mix, it makes for a messy sarnie but by golly it's good!

About the basic material. Boiled eggs, yes please. Tasty bread, ooh smashing. The stench so foul of someone mashing up boiled eggs first thing in the morning, making the whole house stink like a fart and vomit factory, No thanks. Oh and I can't say I want that fartsicky sludge spoiling my bread now either.
