This is a question The best thing I've built

Wehttamman asks: My dad and I once built a go-kart from chipboard, pram wheels and an engine from a lawn mower. It didn't work... so tell us about your favourite things you've made, and whether they were a triumph or complete failure.

The huge Lego Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer.
I was helping a friend's young son build it whilst babysitting.

And of course, by 'help' I mean 'let him sit there while I did it', no matter how much both he and my wife moaned about it.

Ooh. My parents got me the lego pirate ship Dark Shark for my 9th birthday and stayed up all the night MAKING THE BLOODY THING FOR ME.
I took great pleasure in ordering them to destroy it so I could make it myself. Way to completely miss the point of lego, parents.

:)
Is it wrong I laughed so hard I was crying when someone I know built a lego Super Star Destroyer and was proudly showing it to a few of us at a bbq when he dropped it?

To this day I feel somehow unclean

But that
gave him an excuse to build it again, so i wouldn't get too gloomy about it.
