Redundant technology
Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?
Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

I still use the old 21" CRT 100kg not wide screen tv .
It's a sony trinitron so it's not going to die soon, and the amount of abuse it gets from my 2yr son armed with Thomas the Tank Engine, toy cars and other random stuff means i'll not be updating for plastic screen LCD TV for a while.

me too
My Sony triniton is older than the house it lives in, and still has a better picture than some newer 'better' technologies.... Although I mainly keep it because I know, no burglar will bother to break in to try and lug it down the street.

My Hitachi will be staying with us for some time yet
It is a biggish widescreen job but, being a CRT, is heavy enough to have its own gravitational field. No smacked-up junkie is going to easily have it away with that.
I still prefer the picture on CRTs to the over-sharpened over-coloured LCD HD type.

Yay, new telly time
Why not just put your boot through the offending goggle box while no-one is looking and blame it on your son?

Or teach your kid to behave.
My 2 year old has never touched my TV because I, well, told her not to.
