This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

Slightly off-topic but just remembered...
..a game Salman Rushdie and Martin Amis used to play when they met up, in which they had to come up with titles of Shakespeare plays if they had been written by Robert Ludlum.

eg: The Elsinore Conspiracy - Hamlet.
Good fun in the pub if your friends are of a literary bent.

My favourite pub game
is changing one word in a film title to the word "Rectum".

Endless possibilities

The Rectum who loved me
Rectum Royale

I like this game.

Edit: Sorry, Enzyme beat me to it with Rectum Royale.

Further edit: Damnit - Boss K beat me to the whole Bond thing.

At the moment I am!

Well...when I say *I* I mean one of the evil twins - he's suffering from a rather nasty case of the runs....which culminated with a nasty smell following him around school and one of the toilet cubicles being put out of order.
Poor love!

Thank god he's too young to read b3ta or he'd kill me for announcing this online

These are endless
