Actually that's not strictly true. The Viewty wasn't too bad, just a clunky interface. The 120fps video mode was ace. You've never seen a cumshot until it's in super slow motion.

I was torn between the X10 and the HTC wildfire. Looks like you have made my mind up. Anything else to say about the X10 that I should know about?

It came with v1.6
and only just upgraded to 2.1. Three days later m wife's HTC Desire got the 2.2 update. There's no chance SE will upgrade to 2.2, their customer service is trash.

It doesn't even have a Xenon flash even though it has an 8.1 mp camera. No multi-touch screen. Besides on a phone, 5mp camera is more than adequate. Anything larger and you're not getting better quality, just larger files.

The only good points I can think of is the 4" screen which pretty much beats every other smartphone on the market. and it looks nice.

The Wildfire just seems to be a smaller version of the Desire with a smaller screen.

I'm not that bothered about the camera on any phone to be honest
If I wanted a camera I would get one. Main thing for me is the MP3 player and err...battery life. Better than two days would be nice. Not even sure how andriod would change my life so not that bothered about it to be honest. Or am I wrong on this? How could andriod 2.2 make my life better than say, 1.6?

saying WIndows XP is better than WinME. TBH, if all you want is a phone that plays music, then don't waste your cash on a smartphone, something basic with a big memory card will do.
