Broken Promises
Thebigfella tugs our coat and says: Are you a LibDem minister, a cheating partner, or maybe you have an annoying friend you can't be bothered with? Tell us of promises you've broken, or if you've been on the receiving end.

It is one of my proudest boasts...
...that I have never seen Coronation Street.

Me too!
So that means we've made 50 years of not giving a flying fuck about it. Woot!
Not counting that bit in Red Dwarf, of course

I'm not 50 either
But I like to think I was actively ignoring this utter tot even before I was born. Nay, conceived.
If you can't sum up the story (NOT the situation) in a single sentence, then it isn't real drama.
So many shows start off with a series that has a point, then, when that's a success, just go on with the "further adventures" of the characters. A couple of examples off the top of my head, that I got suckered into watching because a) my wife liked them, and b) the first series had some actual point to it: Desperate Housewives (OK, at least it has gags, but it's still a soap these days); Cutting It.
